  My daughter has had vocal lessons with SAM for 9 years, She is only leaving now as with thanks to the help from her tutors at SAM especially Sophie who has helped her to prepare for auditions, she is off to study musical theatre. A great company who will tailor lessons to individuals needs.

  SAM's Music Service has been fantastic. My son has been having weekly half-hour Bass lessons with David for the last two years and has gone from an absolute beginner to Grade 4! David is patient and supportive, and works hard to ensure each lesson is challenging enough to make progress, without over-reaching. It's great that the lessons are based around popular music, as it makes it a joy to listen to when he's practicing. Thanks to the team at SAM'S, but especially David, we couldn't be happier!

  A very professional service and the teachers are great. Our son has not been playing the drums for long, just since last spring, and has come a really long way. The level of instruction is very high. The lesson reports and set practice make it easier to monitor progress and know where additional effort is needed.   Both of my sons, Archie and Bailey, have been having music lessons with MySam for a good number of years now. It is a nurturing, patient, and positive company with caring, knowledgeable tutors. My sons often struggle to stay engaged with activity clubs, but they have remained committed to their music thanks to MySam. This has been especially valuable in supporting my youngest son, who faces neurodiverse challenges and is often not patient with himself. Thank you!

  SAM has been a fantastic way introduces music lessons to our neurodiverse daughter. After a busy school day, she can be in the comfort of her own home for a 1:1 session tailored to her. Her tutor is chatty, fun, patient and encouraging - always asking what music she'd like to learn, and acheiving at her own pace.  Would recommend to all parents. Having been a little anxious about online teaching - it's worked out better for us to maintain our daughters dedication to learning, and offered flexibility when we've needed to change our timeslot.   Learning guitar with Lou has been real positive experience for my son. He really enjoys the weekly online lesson and his guitar playing is coming along and a joy to hear. Lou is a talented tutor and the lessons are so beneficial for my son.   Absolutely brilliant music school. My daughter has learnt with them for over five years - starting on piano and now on electric guitar - and the fully online lessons work seamlessly. The teachers are lovely, highly competent, and the lessons genuinely lift her after a tough day at school. If you have any doubts about online lessons, definitely give them a try. Couldn’t recommend SAM more.

How do online lessons work?

Lessons can be carried out online using any device with an internet connection and camera, such as laptops, iPads, tablets or smartphones. Simply log in and connect, it coudn’t be easier! We even offer a free pre-lesson connection call to make sure you are set up correctly and have easy access through our online platform to view your lesson recordings, reports, grade support and practice folders!

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is paramount to SAM and we naturally take all efforts to protect our students and tutors alike. We host online sessions securely, within our unique online platform “mySAM”. Behind the scenes, each individual lesson is password protected and includes end-to-end encryption using our own servers. All administrators use VPNs and no details are shared between the student and tutor. All our lessons are recorded accessible via our mySAM student platform. All of our tutors have enhanced DBS checks and carry out regular safeguarding and child protection training. SAM is GDPR compliant.
